PADI Specialty courses are designed to provide divers with specific knowledge and skills related to different areas of scuba diving. They allow divers to explore different diving activities and gain expertise in specific areas of interest. Some examples of PADI Specialty courses include:
Enriched Air Diver: This course teaches divers how to use enriched air (nitrox) to extend their no-decompression limits and reduce their surface intervals.
Deep Diver: This course teaches divers how to safely plan and execute deep dives (up to 40 meters/130 feet).
Night Diver: This course teaches divers how to plan and execute safe and enjoyable night dives.
Wreck Diver: This course teaches divers how to safely explore and penetrate shipwrecks.
Underwater Photographer: This course teaches divers how to take underwater photos and videos using a camera.
Peak Performance Buoyancy: This course teaches divers how to control their buoyancy and move through the water more efficiently.
Search and Recovery: This course teaches divers how to search for and recover lost objects underwater.
There are many other PADI Specialty courses available, each with its own unique set of skills and knowledge requirements. Completing PADI Specialty courses can also count towards the PADI Master Scuba Diver rating, which is the highest non-professional level in the PADI system.
